AiProtection on ASUS routers prevents FTPES connections
Working with a different hosting option that uses FTPS instead of SFTP, I found that my ASUS RT-AC56R was preventing passive, explicit FTPS connections. The typical phone contract in America is a two year commitment with early termination fees to discourage you from leaving.
