Despite being the second Tuesday of the month, Microsoft has delayed the security bulletins scheduled for today. From the Microsoft Security Response Center, they share that a last minute issue is going to delay this month’s updates:
This month, we discovered a last minute issue that could impact some customers and was not resolved in time for our planned updates today.
After considering all options, we made the decision to delay this month’s updates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change to the existing plan.
No schedule is provided for when the updates might be expect to be delivered. This was the first month that Microsoft was going to use a new update process that provides less information with no bulletin summaries and excludes IE from Security Only updates. For Update information, see the Microsoft Security Updates Guide or Software Update Summary.
If you’re missing your update and reboot patch, you’re not left out in the cold. Adobe has updates for Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Digital Editions, and Adobe Campaign. Apple also released a patch today to address a vulnerability in GarageBand.
Update: Microsoft has announced that February 2017 updates will be rolled into March 2017’s updates.
