From the Windows Experience blog, Microsoft opened up Windows Holographic to partners this week at Computex. Those partners include Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, HTC, Acer, ASUS, CyberPowerPC, Dell, Falcon Northwest, HP, iBuyPower, Lenovo, MSI and others.
Today, we announced that Windows Holographic is coming to devices of all shapes and sizes from fully immersive virtual reality to fully untethered holographic computing. Today we invited our OEM, ODM, and hardware partners to build PCs, displays, accessories and mixed reality devices with the Windows Holographic platform.
Microsoft began shipping the developer edition of the HoloLens in March and paired with this week’s announcement, they included a video demo of the mixed reality VR future. In the demo, a team from around the world designs the flagship store virtually. They’re able to collaborate, design the room, and find inspiration using VR. See the video embedded below.
A Fall 2016 event is scheduled to present more on Windows Holographic and partner contributions.
