YouTube is introducing videos with multiple angles. The new experience is being dubbed Choose Your View and is available as a separate tab on a YouTube channel.
During playback of a video with Choose Your View capability, you can click on the thumbnail to switch to that camera angle. Alternatively, you can use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard or the number 1-4 to switch to the respective camera angle.
For an example of a video, you can check out Madilyn Bailey’s video from YouTube Music Night at the YouTube Space LA (skip to 1:06 to avoid the annoying host).
The video switching has a half-second delay between switching and the audio can double-up at that same time but otherwise it’s a neat feature. It is a little annoying that you may not be getting the best camera angle but the thumbnail views help with that.
