I made this video really quickly this morning to show a walk-through install of Windows Server Technical Preview. I also poked around with some of the roles and other settings on Microsoft’s coming Server operating system. I fast-forwarded a lot of the slow progress parts so you can familiarize yourself with the new OS in a fraction of the time. Right now, it’s only being labeled as Windows Server Technical Preview. Will it become Windows Server 2015?
I’m very happy that the Start Menu is back. I don’t mind it too much on Windows 8.1 Update but remoting into servers running Server 2012 are a huge pain. Other interesting notes include Windows Server Technical Preview comes with PowerShell 5.0 but is still rocking Internet Explorer 11. Catch the video below for all the other details.
Made with VirtualBox and the initial release of Windows Server Technical Preview ISO. You can download the Windows Server Technical Preview from the new Windows Insider program.
