Symantec announced that the latest version of their enterprise antivirus is now available.
Symantec Endpoint Protection 14 brings two new features to the product line that is sure to give them an advantage in defending corporate networks. Symantec completed their acquisition of Blue Coat Systems in August and has integrated their threat intelligence into the system to allow management of protection at the endpoint and the web gateway.
The second big feature with this version is using advanced machine learning to accelerate protection faster than definitions alone. This can reduce daily definition file updates (signatures) and false positives.
Powered by artificial intelligence on the endpoint and in the cloud, Symantec Endpoint Protection 14 is the industry’s first solution to fuse essential endpoint technologies with advanced machine learning and memory exploit mitigation in a single agent, delivering a multi-layered solution able to stop advanced threats and respond at the endpoint regardless of how the attack is launched.
