Dell announced their Precision line is targeting professionals working with virtual reality. The hardware specifications of the computer configurations have been set to meet the minimum CPU, RAM, and graphics requirements set for VR viewing. Dell has more information at www.dell.com/VRready.
Along with the announcement committing to the future of VR, Dell also announced a refresh to the Dell Precision Tower workstations. The new models include the Dell Precision 5810, 7810, and 7910 towers. The Dell Precision Rack 7910 is also upgraded. The upgrades include the Broadwell EP processors. Optional upgrades are available from AMD or NVIDIA for graphics card, SSD storage, and increasing the amount of DDR4 RAM.
The Dell Precision Tower 5810, 7810, and 7910 Workstations and the Rack 7910 will be available for purchase from Dell.com beginning April 5th, 2016.
