Logitech introduced two new keyboards today, both named the G610 Orion backlit mechanical keyboard. The difference between the two keyboards comes down to the type of switch used for each key. The G610 Orion Brown uses a Cherry MX Brown switch while the G610 Orion Red uses a Cherry MX Red switch. These mechanical switches give better reaction and usually require less force to press.
The Brown switch is considered more well-rounded and does not tend to be as clicky. The Red switch is more tuned for rapid presses and is commonly aimed towards gaming keyboards. Despite the intentions, every person has their own preference and different games may not benefit as much from a low actuation force switch as much as others.
The keyboards also feature dedicated media controls, individual key lighting, and game profiles for those lights are available through the Logitech Gaming Software.
The Logitech G610 Orion Red backlit mechanical gaming keyboard and Logitech G610 Orion Brown backlight mechanical gaming keyboard is available for purchase from Amazon for $119.99.
