Oral-B introduced a new smart electric toothbrush at Mobile World Congress 2016. The Oral-B GENIUS pairs with an app on your smartphone and uses its built-in cameras and sensors to monitor your brushing. It specifically addresses the problem of people applying too much pressure when brushing, not brushing long enough, and skipping entire areas of their mouths.
In addition to being a rotating, pulsating, and oscillating electric toothbrush, the Oral-B GENIUS can also track its position and show on the app how to brush everything equally. It will come with a smart travel case that doubles as a charger for the toothbrush and another USB device, a smartphone holder so you can see the app easily, a Lithium-Ion battery for long battery life, and the smart ring with different colored lights for a personalized brush.
The Oral-B GENIUS will be available in select markets beginning in July 2016 and the accompanying Oral-B App 4.1 will also be available in July 2016 on iTunes and Google Play. The product website is oralb.com/genius.
