The Internet of Things is the next gold rush. Providing devices like connected appliances and automated home systems along with all of our gadgets is appealing to consumers. Providing security and services for those connected devices is a secondary market that is very valuable and yet to have a leader dominate it.
Security company F-Secure is making their play for the IoT market with their new device, SENSE.
F-Secure Sense is F-Secure’s cyber defense solution for smart homes combines hardware and software in a unique way.
The physical hardware creates a secure network in the home that protects all the devices in your home network, such as laptops, phones and tablets, and newer Internet of Things (IoT) devices (for example smart TVs or security cameras). Sense comes with a handy app that you install on a smartphone or tablet. With the app, you can set up, configure and monitor the devices that are connected to the Sense network, giving you the security and privacy protection status of your home network at a glance.
Sense app will protect devices that leave the home network, such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
F-Secure Sense provides endpoint security to all of your devices, even ones like your connected fridge which can’t have an antivirus installed.
