YouTube announced their new option for watching the popular video streaming service ad-free will be available on October 28th to viewers in the US.
YouTube Red lets you enjoy videos across all of YouTube without ads, while also letting you save videos to watch offline on your phone or tablet and play videos in the background, all for $9.99 a month. Your membership extends across devices and anywhere you sign into YouTube, including our recently launched Gaming app and a brand new YouTube Music app we’re announcing today that will be available soon.
Is ad-free YouTube on all of your devices worth $9.99/month? Does the offline video option make it worth it? If it doesn’t make it worth it for you, don’t worry, the ad-supported YouTube will still be around. If you would like to check out YouTube Red, you will be able to try a one month free trial beginning on October 28th, though you may want to wait until the YouTube Music option (essentially Google Play Music) arrives at a later date to get the full experience.
