GodMode still exists in Windows 10

‘GodMode’ provides a folder with all of the Control Panel applets in one place. The GodMode came about with Windows 8 and still exists in Windows 10.

In Windows 10, you can click the Start button and choose Settings to access the new style of configurations. Alternatively, you can right-click the Start button and choose Control Panel to access the classic approach to controlling Windows. GodMode gives you another option if neither of these tickle your fancy.

To enable GodMode, with an administrator-level account right-click on a blank space on your desktop. Choose New > Folder.

Give this folder the name: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Upon hitting Enter, the folder will change icons to look like below.

You can actually use any word in front of the period as long as you still have the part in the curly braces.

GodMode gives you a simple list of Control Panel items, which some people prefer. The over 200 items are categorized such as Windows Defender, Windows Firewall, Administrative Tools, and others.

Just as Windows Updates moved from System Properties and Control Panel, you won’t find it through GodMode either. Windows Updates are only available through Settings, Updates and Recovery.
