Mainstream support for Windows 7 ended yesterday and a week from today, we will learn more details about Microsoft’s next operating system.
Microsoft has been slowly sharing details about Windows 10. At the end of last September, Microsoft introduced Windows 10 and showed a few general and underwhelming features. In November, Microsoft held an enterprise-focused session in Microsoft Virtual Academy for IT Professionals to focus on enterprise details of the coming OS. Lastly, in mid-December, Microsoft sent out RSVPs to the press to attend a Windows 10 event on January 21st where the consumer experience will take center stage.
Now that we are less than a week away from the next upcoming event, Microsoft shared the details of how you can watch the webcast live or on-demand.
Via an article posted today by Brandon LeBlanc to the Blogging Windows blog, the event will be held January 21st, 2015 at 9AM Pacific time. It will be available for live streaming, and on-demand shortly after, at http://www.microsoft.com/windows10story
We’re pretty excited about this event and to be able to talk about what’s next for Windows 10. You’ll hear directly from senior leaders from the Operating Systems Group including Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore and Phil Spencer as well as our CEO Satya Nadella!
So far, I have liked what I have seen with Windows 10 and look forward to hearing more about the consumer experience next week.
