Mozilla has launched version thirteen of its Firefox browser. The New Tab page and Start page have received an updated look. SPDY protocol is now enabled by default on sites using SPDY. General performance has been improved by JavaScript garbage collection.
The Start page now includes the launch targets (highlighted) at the bottom. This speeds up navigation to Firefox’s various internal pages now that the interface has been reduced from menu bars and toolbars to the single button in the top-left corner.
The New Tab page has been updated, looking very similar to Google Chrome’s new tab page, to show 9 frequently visited websites.
See the Firefox 13.0 Release Notes for details or the buglist for the complete list of changes in this version of the browser.
