Being told to buy CS6 as the recommended security update for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash CS5 did not sit well with customers. Adobe later recanted and promised updates to fix the known security vulnerabilities beyond their “be careful” recommendation.
Yesterday, Adobe delivered the updates to Photoshop CS5 / CS5.1 and Illustrator CS5 / CS5.5. The update to Adobe Flash Professional will be coming at a later date.
Adobe released Adobe Illustrator CS5 (15.0.3) and CS 5.5 (15.1.1) to address the vulnerabilities. You can read the full security bulletin for Adobe Illustrator for details and links to download the updates for both Windows and Mac platforms.
