The next iteration of the ‘big cat’ family of Apple’s Mac OS X is coming this Summer with the name ‘Mountain Lion’. Apple has a sneak peak up on their site that shows off some of the new features.
Mountain Lion will bring the version up to 10.8. The boasted features include iCloud, Messages, Reminders, Notes, Notification Center, Share Sheets, Twitter integration, Game Center, AirPlay Mirroring, and Gatekeeper. Apple also boasts Mountain Lion will feature services tailored toward use in China. A lot of the features continue the cross-pollination of Mac OS X and the features of iOS. Messages expands on iChat and Gatekeeper provides greater security against malware.
You can currently download the beta of Messages or the Developer Preview of Mountain Lion if you’re in the Mac Developer Program.
