The National High School Cyber Defense competition, put on by the Air Force Association with a handful of other sponsors, began today at noon eastern time. The program is in its 4th year and continues to expand.
CyberPatriot is the premiere national high school cyber defense competition created to inspire high school students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future.
Now in its fourth phase, CyberPatriot IV is open to all high schools, Civil Air Patrol Units, JROTC Units, and accredited home school programs around the country.

The competition consists of several rounds. The teams advancing after each round should be notified within 4 business days following the end of the round.

Open Division:
Practice Round – October 3-7
Round 1 – November 4-5
Round 2 – December 16-17
Round 3 – January 27-28
The National Finals Competition will take place on March 22-23 in National Harbor, Maryland.
