National Cyber Security Awareness Month, coordinated by the National Cyber Security Alliance at StaySafeOnline.org, is a time for all users of the Internet to “Stop. Think. Connect.” By pausing to reflect on risks and potential problems and having knowledge of what warning signs to look for, we can all enjoy the Internet more freely.
StaySafeOnline.org has a list of events going on throughout the month for NCSAM 2011. They also have lists of ideas of how businesses, college administrators, community-based organizations, K-12 educators, faith-based organizations, home users, libraries, local government, local law enforcement, and victims’ service organizations can get involved to help spread the message of being safe online.
Also be sure to check out the NCSAM tip sheets that cover gaming tips for kids and parents, internet safety and security tips for college students and parents, mobile safety tips, and social networking tips.
