Looking for an easy way to get your friends’ hopes up and then annoy them? When they ask for a Google+ invite, send them a Gmail invite instead. You probably have a few lying around that you’re not using, right? Look at the bottom of the left column of your Gmail. It says ‘Invite a friend’ and ‘Give Gmail to:’.
You can also click on the link ‘Preview Invite’ to customize the message. Put something in there about how Gmail is superior to Google+ because it’s been around for a while and tested, it’s no longer beta, you can communicate with anybody, or you don’t have to mess around with Circles. Then send off your invite to give them the briefest uptick of their day, just for it to be dashed when they read it. After you’re pretty sure they’ve received the first e-mail, wait a few hours and go ahead and send them another Gmail invite.
My only regret is that I have but 84 invites to give. I especially like sending these Gmail invites to my friend and family members who are already at Gmail.
Thanks for reading!
If you’d like a Google+ invite, leave a comment below with your Gmail address in the e-mail field (not in the comment section) so it will be safe from spambots. I won’t spam you but I’ll send you an invite to Google+ while I’m able.
