Twitter has had embeddable Follow buttons for your website that were basically just images that take a person to the site’s profile. Now Twitter has introduced more dynamic Follow buttons that can allow a visitor to start following the account’s tweets with a single click. It can show the follow button, the user name, and how many followers the account has.
To add a Follow Button to your site, you can head on over to the Twitter resources page to configure the Follow button. You can set which user name to follow, the color scheme, language, and whether to show the follower count or not. You can then preview the button and grab the HTML and Javascript code and paste it in your site.
For more details on the new Follow buttons and other configuration options, check out the Follow Button documentation page.
