After I bought my surround sound system I had a problem with the center speaker. It didn’t really have a good place to be. In front of the TV it blocked any subtitles, so we tried behind it, which just looked awkward and didn’t do great for the sound. About that same time, I learned about ScreenDeck, a shelf specifically made to attach to 37 to 47-inch flatscreen TVs. Since then, mine had been pre-ordered waiting for Amazon to get restocked. I finally got mine in the mail and Amazon appears to be restocked.
The ScreenDeck comes with two brackets, the shelf, two clips for cable management, and instruction book a few different sizes of screws that fit standard TV mounting VESA-compliant TVs.
The instructions have you attach the shelf to the brackets and then attach the whole thing to the TV. This was very easy to do and the M8 15mm screws worked perfectly with my TV.
In place, the speaker on the shelf looks a whole lot better than it did behind the TV and it doesn’t block anything. Further away, the shelf and the whole setup looks very well put together and pretty sleek.
