There have been plenty of tools to work on a remote computer over the network, like LogMeIn, VNC, and others, but I have never seen one that has been as easy as Ammyy Admin. If you’re trying to help somebody with a computer problem, you might just decide it’s easier to fix the problem yourself instead of telling the person what to do. However, sometimes working remotely and connecting to their machine can be half the battle. You have to instruct your “customer” through all the steps of setting up the systems in order for you to get in, and that’s tangential and time-consuming away from the original problem.
Instead of that scenario, imagine being able to point the individual to download a simple executable and run it. No install required; a window will pop-up and they just press the Start button and tell you their ID number.
On your end, you run the same executable, still no install, and switch to the Operator tab. Enter the ID number that they told you and hit Connect.
The “customer” will be presented with a simple window which tells them your ID and lets them set the permissions on this session. They can allow you to only view the screen (without interacting) or give your keyboard and mouse interaction (default).
That’s all there is to it. You’re connected to their computer over a quick connection to solve their problem. No more time wasted setting up an elaborate remote connection system, just run this and solve the issue at hand. Part of the simplicity is that Ammyy Admin acts as a broker to translate all your connection information into a simple ID number. Easy for all involved.
