If you’re a fan of the Mac OS X dock at the bottom of the screen and you’re looking for something similar for Windows, look no further!
Stardock Objectdock offers that convenience and some customization for free. There’s a plus version, costing money, that promises a few more features but I try to stick to only those things where the price is right.
You can put any shortcut or file on the dock and organize it how you please. There are tons of configuration options that allows you to place the dock where you want it, use auto-hide, and have the icons enlarge when you mouse over them.
I got tired of minimizing everything to get to frequently-used shortcuts on my desktop and I didn’t want to fill up my Quick Launch bar. Now, whenever I want a shortcut, I just move the mouse to the top of my screen and the dock appears so I can launch any apps on it easily.
Get organized with the right amount of pretty… That’s why people prefer Macs, right?
