Comparable to the previous post about GreenPrint, HP offers a similar product to help reduce paper and toner waste. HP Smart Web Printing allows you to highlight what you want to print and basically crop from webpages what you want to print. You can then rearrange the clips to print how you want or to fit onto one page instead of multiple.
It’s less intrusive than GreenPrint by not being a separate service and it also allows you to scale your print clips before you print them. After installing the program (as an add-on to Firefox and IE), just click on the new button in either browser and drag a selection around what you want to clip. This will then be added to a sidebar. Once you’re done clipping, you can choose which clips to print. This will launch a new window to allow you to re-arrange, scale, or delete clips. It gives you a bit more control over your printing and seems to be a useful alternative to ‘Print selection’ in some instances.
